For those of you who grew up with a perfect looking skin and never had an issue with acne, blackheads or pimples. What I would tell you would be too inappropriate to post in my blog, and even if I would they wouldn't read it as they don't come to skincare blogs. The rest of us, almost 85% in the world will have acne at one point in their lives. It is important for us to take care of this by following a skincare routine to reduce the acne and get rid of blackheads.
Introduction to skincare
A basic skincare routine starts off with water, cleanser and moisturiser. You use these in the morning and at night. In the skincare world we call refer to it as AM and PM routine.
Let's say me for example, my skincare routine is as follows:
AM
Splash my face with some water, Use my la roche posay cleanser and rub it on my wet face for 30 seconds. I dry my face with a soft towel and I apply my la roche posay moisturiser.
PM
I splash my face again with some water, use the same cleanser to rinse my face, dry it and apply the same moisturiser.
That's how it is done, a simple but effective skincare routine.

Advanced Skincare
I also want to give you a sneak peak of a more advanced skincare routine. If you have problems like PIH and Blackheads, a basic routine will not suffice. That's why you need some extra to get rid of the blackheads and reduce the visibility of acne and PIH.
My favorite tool for this is the clay mask. I apply it twice a week on my face after cleansing and drying it. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and it pulls out all the blackheads without me having to manually extract them.

Removing Blackheads
I will tell you on how to get rid of blackheads on nose and ears. I talked about the facial mask in the previous section, but now I will teach you more ways to get rid of them.
Some of the best blackhead removal tools are actually some of the worst. An extractor tool will help a lot, but leave your skin damaged and your pore stretched afterwards. It is best to avoid this kind of tool.
The oil cleansing method on the other hand is one of the best ways to remove blackheads. It's simple and doesn't damage the skin at all. While both dry and oily skin types can use it, it works best on dry skin.

Preventing Blackheads
Wouldn't you rather prevent blackheads in the first place? Imagine a day that you wake up and don't have to worry about finding any clogged pores on your skin. While I can not guarantee you will never have a new one pop up on your face, it can greatly reduce the chances!
Sweat is a great way for blackheads to form, it is a warm liquid that mixes with your sebum. Because it is warm, bacteria will grow really fast on it and get in your hair follicles.
Earplugs are often the cause for ear blackheads. Sharing those with friends and family might sound fun, but don't be surprised if you find a clogged pore in your ear afterwards!
Dirty pillowcases are also a nightmare. All the dirt and bacteria from not washing it regularly will accumulate and greatly increase your chances of them getting on your face.
Your fingers are the last, but definately not the least important cause for blackheads. How often do you touch your face a day? You don't know? I will tell you, you touch it atleast once a minute! Now think about all the dirty surfaces you touched with those hands. That's right, all the bacteria will go straight to your face when you touch it!
